How can I book my COVID vaccination?
You can contact us to book our appointment for your vaccination. Walk ins are welcome but please phone ahead just to make sure we will have the time needed to dedicate to you.
Why should I go to Jason's Canada Drugstore pharmacy?
We are a pharmacy. Our vaccinations are completed by a licensed pharmacist. We provide vaccinations for COVID, influenza, shingles, RSV and many other injections or vaccines. Our pharmacy is not quite what you might expect with a simple dispensary and patient-centred care area.
Do you give COVID shots?
Our pharmacy has given many COVID vaccinations and boosters. Please ensure you are eligible for your COVID shot before booking an appointment with us. One of the best ways to do this is to give us a call! We'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.
International Prescription Service (IPS)
Q: Do I need a Prescription
A: Yes. We require a prescription for all medications. Just like your local pharmacy a valid prescription is required from a physician licensed to practice in your area of residence. Any prescription older than 6 months will likely be refused.
Q: Can prescriptions from any doctor be filled?
A: Yes – In addition the prescriber doctor must be licensed in your area of residence. Your prescription is then reviewed and converted by a licensed Canadian doctor to a valid Canadian prescription.
Q: How long will it take for the doctor to review my prescription?
A: It may take up to 1-3 days to process and/or review your prescription and up to 2-4 weeks for shipping of your medication provided that there are no special problems.
Q: How much can I purchase at one time?
A: You may purchase for personal use only a maximum of a 90 day supply of each of your medications provided that you have a valid prescription for that supply of medication. If your physician writes a prescription for more than a 90 day supply then we can have those refills filled as they come due.
Q: Return Policy
A: As a result of applicable laws prescription medication cannot be returned.
Be advised that, given the international nature of the practice of International Prescription Service (IPS) pharmacy, there may be limitations in the ability of the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba, which is the statutory licensing authority for pharmacies and pharmacists in the Province of Manitoba, to investigate and prosecute complaints from persons who receive services or products from an IPS pharmacy. Manitoba pharmacists are not permitted to fill US physicians' prescriptions. They can only fill prescriptions issued by a physician licensed in a province or territory of Canada. The College of Pharmacists of Manitoba takes the position that it may be contrary to professional standards for a pharmacist to fill prescriptions by a physician, licensed in a province or territory of Canada, who has not established an acceptable patient-physician relationship with you.
